I was recruited into this program, and payed an enrollment fee. On the second day I decided this was not for me, and emailed my cancellation, as it should be done within three days after signing on. I also called to verify my cancellation. I have received nothing back in the form of a refund.

Hey Mike, Thanks for your blog. I don’t belong to any MLM’s but just thought I would comment because I have friends who approach me all of the time to join theirs because “this ONE is LEGIT”. One of which is “CSI” formerly “Narcthatcar”.

I just have to laugh because my friends who are involved in MLM’s hold down full time jobs (and are paid well) yet are involved with several (at least 4 or 5). They feel the need to tell me “this ONE is LEGIT” because they know I am very leary of MLM’s.

So far I have heard about some “Earn america” or “shop america”(?) where people shop from your website, another “green energy” where you have people switch carriers, all the way to the vitamins and supplements.

I understand people want their “own” businesses and don’t want to be under the 9-5 schedule but I can’t stand when people come to me within weeks with 5 different “this ONE is LEGIT” when they really do not know if the company is in fact LEGIT. If the company was LEGIT and they were truly making all of the money they speak of why would they need 4 or 5 MLM’s and a FULL TIME job???? Personally, I think they need the full time jobs to pay for the MLM’s fees…

Thanks for visiting and commenting on the blog. There is some validity and merit to what you’ve stated. The BBB is not a government agency. Although they are not a government agency they are still viewed as an authority agency with respect to consumer protection and recieving an “F” rating from such a figure does not look good to potential clients. The fact that they are not affiliated with the government does not reduce their credibility. Something that you mentioned gravely concerns me as well, “I’ve heard that every MLM out there is a scam…” This is part of the problem of our industry getting such a negative rap is that people “hear” things and then state them as fact instead of finding the facts to support the things they “hear.” Not every MLM is a scam, that’s just silly to even repeat and think. Lastly, if the company is selling information why haven’t they provided a list of the clients they are actually providing their “information” product to? The industry is still waiting for this information.

The BBB is a bigger scam than any MLM out there! People actually think that the BBB is a government agency. It’s not!

I’ve heard that every MLM out there is a scam to include Amway. Amway has been in business for over 50 years. If that’s a scam when will they be shut down?

This company does sell products, it’s information. No, I’m a rep. for this company.

Good information Mike. I had someone present this “opportunity” to me about a week ago. I have not yet joined. I have been investigating the company before making a decision. I emailed my concerns to the company through their website form. I have not yet received an answer. If I do, you’ll be the first to know.
The biggest concern I have with the system is the $25/month website fee. That is extremely expensive when a website costs virtually nothing to maintain. If you figure it up the company is making $300/year per “consultant” (12 X 25 = 300) on the website alone. I don’t know how many consultants there are in the plan, but I’ve heard the number 30k in the Dallas, TX area alone. If that is truly the case then the money from the website is a staggering $9 million/year. (30,000 X 300 = 9,000,000)
People need to be cautious about this because to be legal in Texas (if I understood the TX Attorney General’s website correctly, if not please correct me) the company must be able to show that its compensation plan is funded by the sale of the product, i.e. the license plates, without funding from the sign-up and website fees. I believe everyone needs to be asking the same two questions: How is the compensation plan funded? and Why does the company need a monthly website fee?

First of all I would like to say thank you for your post. I was told about NARC today by a friend Ive been involved with in another Network Marketing Company. My advise to people if your going to start a business that your going to spend time and monies at, would you not want all the information. A good business person gets all the information before he decide to open any type of business. I have been on the internet most of the day trying to get info on this company .I also live in Texas. I would say what I found out so far I am not joining. Thanks again Mike for your help keep up the good work. Paul
