NarcThatCar Scam – Looks Like The Wheels Are Falling Off This One
Glad to see you back! Get blog post updates here
I’m sure by now you have gotten wind about NarcThatCar.com and all the buzz it is creating with its simple business plan of earning 1000′s a month from just writing down license plates. So the big question of course that everybody wants to know is if there is a NarcThatCar Scam going on. I do not believe that the company itself, Narc Technologies, is a scam but the MLM compensation plan that they are implementing can definitely be called into question on longevity. Here is a hint…if you are thinking about joining, keep your money in your pocket. But lets look at the facts and the information available to us and you can make your own determination.
A comment from NBCDFW’s (NBC Dallas-Fort Worth) Post: “According to the US Justice Department that maintains the Amber Alert System they have no association with NarcThatCar and can find no useful purpose of gathering license plate numbers of cars whose sitings might be as long as a year or more old. Code Amber Alert also claims no association with NARC as does the Big Three Auto Makers who Narc has also claimed as approving and using their system. Every claim that they have made concerning associations with various companies has been proven to be false. They are now claiming that their so called consultants made the false claims even though their YouTube Videos made by the company make these same claims over and over again.”
The BBB has recieved over 6000 inquiries about NarcThatCar and are cautioning potential participants to beware. The BBB itself wants to know if the company is truly providing a service or if it only makes money from recruiting consultants that would have a hard time making money themselves. Furthermore, you should always be weary when all positive information about any company is coming from active members within the company.
Here are a few red flags that should get your skeptical juices flowing.
1. There are none of the owners names on the website
2. There are none of the company officers listed on the website
3. There are no policies and procedures listed
4. There are no Terms and Conditions that you must sign when you become a member
5. The company is unreachable by the phone number listed. If you try you get a message that the mailbox is full and you are unable to leave a message of your own. How’s that for customer service?
6. There is no detailed explaination of the compensation plan listed except a single pdf file which is just a cut and paste from the powerpoint presentation of the company introduction video.
7. Where exactly is the money coming from to pay all of the ICs for entering license plates?
I see the red flags arising.
This is not a new program by far; there was a similar one a few years ago called FreeAutoUSA.com in which it would be hard for you to find traces of now.
In order to avoid being scammed in the future you can get information on how to determine a legit MLM vs. a Pyramid Scheme at the Texas Attorney General’s website.
In conclusion, there is just too much ambiguity in this company which should have a ton of clarity if it were legitimate. There are alot of questions that need to be answered in order for NarcThatCar to clear its name. The fact that people are getting paid and earning money is irrelevant as people who join in the beginning of any ponzi scheme always get paid. It is the individuals that join on the backend who find themselves the victims as the entire program crumbles.

I am a networker with a solid company and what I learned about MLM – just basic common sense rules – the company has to have a proven track record (or you just take the risk) – a real service or product to offer …. ! I network a lot and I came across a lot of people who are prospecting fo this company and I feel not good about the whole thing. Thank you for the article …. wish lost of people would read that!
You have this one all wrong. after 30 years in the industry, i can tell you tht NarcTech, now called Crowd Sourcing Intl. is completely legal and legit The Texas AG will tell you direcetly that the company is registered, and is a legal business. Please get the facts before you slander another company, no matter who it is.
Chuck,
First of all Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I would like address your comment. After reading it I wonder if you actually read my post. I never questioned the validity of the company. I clearly addressed the issue you mentioned when I stated “I do not believe that the company itself, Narc Technologies, is a scam but the MLM compensation plan that they are implementing can definitely be called into question on longevity.” The company itself is not the issue at all, the company actually seems to be legit. It is when they chose to place a MLM compensation on the front end of it that is not in compliance with FTC and Texas Law and they cannot produce evidence that they are providing a product or service to an end user. So I think you should get YOUR facts straight. If you can provide us with some proof that their are true clients that are using the service that Narc is supplying (and not just the opportunity to other potential ICs) and that their MLM compensation structure is in compliance with the FTC and SEC then please post it here.
So if this is so questionable I guess you don’t believe in God either (he is for believers not provers). If you think your so smart what is a good MLM company? I would much rather get paid for entering PUBLIC information into a data base that has the potential of helping someone someday; than buy a bunch of cleaning supplies or makeup and be stuck with a product no one wants, because of the economy. All this company is doing is creating a data base of where a liscence plate has traveled, not the make and model or the VIN number just the PUBLIC plate number and PUBLIC address! Also what are all of these paranoid people (that think the government is out to get them) going to do when they realize that with the use of high teck satellites the Govermment can not only find out where they are but read what time it is on their watch. I also believe that if something isn’t for you then just don’t do it, why be a bully and make people think that what they are doing is wrong? This world would be much better off if everone would mind their own business.
Heather,
First I would like to thank you for visiting my post and commenting. I have to say that you are no different from the host of others who have read this post and disagree with me. You are no different in the regards that all of them have chosen to personally attack me instead of addressing the issues and concerns I’ve raised in the post. As you stated, “…I guess you don’t believe in God either (he is for believers not provers).” What does my personal beliefs have to do with this. It is not a matter of believing, when it comes to business IT IS a matter of proof or at least that’s how the FTC sees it. I wrote this post to address some issues and concerns that newcomers might not otherwise think of or know to research because of a lack of experience. I’m not “bullying” and how can I “make” people think that what they are doing is wrong if it isn’t. If you think that, then you should ask yourself why you feel that way. “Minding our own business” is harmful when we see others in harms way and we say nothing knowing that they may not know any better themselves. I am still interested to hear you, or any other rep for that matter, address the issues in my post and provide proof so that we can all be informed.

What a clever way to advertise and market your personal business opportunity. Why would you down another business to evelate your own. I guess it’s how most americans get ahead huh? Narc That Car is a real opportunity for real people that represent the millions that have lost their jobs. I’m sure you sitting back pretty comfortable enjoying your american dream. What about everyone else…what makes you so different?
Keep up the good work…or not!!!
Thanks for visiting and reading my post. I guess you caught me, I don’t know how you saw through that…”down another business to elevate my own.” I mean because everybody knows that method works every time right? Seriously, that is not the intent of this post at all. If I have my own hidden agenda then I guess the Better Business Bureau and the news channel I mentioned in this post do as well. I’m sure the BBB was acting out of its own interest when it issued Narc That Car (Now Crowd Sourcing International) a rating of “F.” I’m sure the news station was trying to promote themselves only by covering the story they’ve received numerous calls about. Or maybe we all ARE looking out for everyone else and trying to keep the predators from taking advantage of “the millions that have lost their jobs.” The sad thing is that no matter how many signs and warnings you show people they will always be blinding by the dollar signs. If you love and support the company so much then why didn’t you help the company by providing some information that will address the concerns I listed in this post. Not one single person has yet to do that, the company itself has yet to provide the information that the BBB requested in order to change their “F” rating. I’ve said before that I don’t believe that the company is bad, it is their compensation plan that is in question and it is the compensation plan that has everyone joining up. I’m just trying to encourage people to peel back the onion a little bit and look beneath the surface.
Staying grounded, founded and focused,
Mike J.
How hard is it to see that Mike is simply saying that this is a risky business venture? Chuck, Heather, he’s right. The BBB rating alone should be enough to make you wary. They may not rob you blind, but it also may not be a worthwhile investment.
Thanks for the informative post, Mike.
Thanks for visiting and reading the post. I appreciate your feedback.

First of all I would like to say thank you for your post. I was told about NARC today by a friend Ive been involved with in another Network Marketing Company. My advise to people if your going to start a business that your going to spend time and monies at, would you not want all the information. A good business person gets all the information before he decide to open any type of business. I have been on the internet most of the day trying to get info on this company .I also live in Texas. I would say what I found out so far I am not joining. Thanks again Mike for your help keep up the good work. Paul
Good information Mike. I had someone present this “opportunity” to me about a week ago. I have not yet joined. I have been investigating the company before making a decision. I emailed my concerns to the company through their website form. I have not yet received an answer. If I do, you’ll be the first to know.
The biggest concern I have with the system is the $25/month website fee. That is extremely expensive when a website costs virtually nothing to maintain. If you figure it up the company is making $300/year per “consultant” (12 X 25 = 300) on the website alone. I don’t know how many consultants there are in the plan, but I’ve heard the number 30k in the Dallas, TX area alone. If that is truly the case then the money from the website is a staggering $9 million/year. (30,000 X 300 = 9,000,000)
People need to be cautious about this because to be legal in Texas (if I understood the TX Attorney General’s website correctly, if not please correct me) the company must be able to show that its compensation plan is funded by the sale of the product, i.e. the license plates, without funding from the sign-up and website fees. I believe everyone needs to be asking the same two questions: How is the compensation plan funded? and Why does the company need a monthly website fee?
The BBB is a bigger scam than any MLM out there! People actually think that the BBB is a government agency. It’s not!
I’ve heard that every MLM out there is a scam to include Amway. Amway has been in business for over 50 years. If that’s a scam when will they be shut down?
This company does sell products, it’s information. No, I’m a rep. for this company.
Paul,
Thanks for visiting and commenting on the blog. There is some validity and merit to what you’ve stated. The BBB is not a government agency. Although they are not a government agency they are still viewed as an authority agency with respect to consumer protection and recieving an “F” rating from such a figure does not look good to potential clients. The fact that they are not affiliated with the government does not reduce their credibility. Something that you mentioned gravely concerns me as well, “I’ve heard that every MLM out there is a scam…” This is part of the problem of our industry getting such a negative rap is that people “hear” things and then state them as fact instead of finding the facts to support the things they “hear.” Not every MLM is a scam, that’s just silly to even repeat and think. Lastly, if the company is selling information why haven’t they provided a list of the clients they are actually providing their “information” product to? The industry is still waiting for this information.
Hey thanks for the information. I just wanted to say that I called their number and i did get a person and not a message machine that tells me the message is full.
Thank you visiting the website and for giving me an update. It is good to see that the company is moving towards fixing some of its issues.
Take care,
Mogul Mike
Hey Mike, Thanks for your blog. I don’t belong to any MLM’s but just thought I would comment because I have friends who approach me all of the time to join theirs because “this ONE is LEGIT”. One of which is “CSI” formerly “Narcthatcar”.
I just have to laugh because my friends who are involved in MLM’s hold down full time jobs (and are paid well) yet are involved with several (at least 4 or 5). They feel the need to tell me “this ONE is LEGIT” because they know I am very leary of MLM’s.
So far I have heard about some “Earn america” or “shop america”(?) where people shop from your website, another “green energy” where you have people switch carriers, all the way to the vitamins and supplements.
I understand people want their “own” businesses and don’t want to be under the 9-5 schedule but I can’t stand when people come to me within weeks with 5 different “this ONE is LEGIT” when they really do not know if the company is in fact LEGIT. If the company was LEGIT and they were truly making all of the money they speak of why would they need 4 or 5 MLM’s and a FULL TIME job???? Personally, I think they need the full time jobs to pay for the MLM’s fees…
I was recruited into this program, and payed an enrollment fee. On the second day I decided this was not for me, and emailed my cancellation, as it should be done within three days after signing on. I also called to verify my cancellation. I have received nothing back in the form of a refund.
NARC TECHNOLOGIES IS A FRAUD AND A SCAM !!! BEWARE
Albert,
Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing your experience. I am sad to hear that you have had a negative experience with this company. I encourage you to not let this experience deter you from obtaining your goal of financial freedom as there are many good companies within the network marketing industry.
Very shorts, simple and easy to understand, bet some more comments from your side would be great
