Are You Married To Your Network Marketing Opportunity?  I’m asking this question because some individuals are entrenched in network marketing insanity by remaining with a company that can no longer serve them in reaching their goals.  Let me first begin by saying that I’m not talking about being dedicated to building your current company. I’m actually talking about being dedicated to your goals and your family above all else.  It seems self-destructive and insane to remain in a company which cannot serve your end goals.  It is like trying to travel somewhere and you know that the car you are in won’t get you there because it has no wheels.  Instead of switching vehicles and getting to your destination you’d rather sit idle in a vehicle on blocks because “it’s the first car I ever purchased and I love it too much.”

Why am I calling it network marketing insanity?  Well, we commonly know the loose definition of insanity as repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.  I personally know individuals who have been in some companies for 6 years and have seen no growth in their income or organization for 5 or more of those years but yet they faithfully continue to remain on autoship, do home meetings and attend conventions relentlessly.  They have in a sense pledged loyalty to their company while forgetting the main reason they became involved to begin with, freedom.  I’m sure many of you can relate to this as you may no others who have done the same thing or you may have done it yourself.

So why do they stay?  I think there are two parts to the answer: It has a bit to do with the fact that we as network marketers are a different breed of individual that possess a very high I.Q. level.  By I.Q. level I’m referring to “I Quit” level, we just refuse to quit.  With that being said, some individuals look at moving to another company as giving up and quitting and they would rather die than quit.  They often say things like “I know that I can make money in this company because Johnny Stagecrosser, who is a company top-earner, did it so I know it works.”  But deep down inside they know that their current income vehicle has no wheels and isn’t benefiting them or their bank account.  Even when presented an opportunity that is clearly a better fit for them in every facet, they remain steadfast and proudly stick out their chest while touting “I’ve been in the same company for X years and I’ll never leave.”  The second part is that when some people join a network marketing company they view the registration process as a wedding ceremony…”In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, until death do us part.”

I have a confession to make…this used to be me.  Yep, I was proud of not being an “opportunity jumper” and instead of seeking out the right vehicle to get me to my destination I stayed in a stagnant state that I KNEW was getting me nowhere.  That was just completely stupid to have that type of dream-destructive loyalty now that I look back on it.  Now I’m not recommending joining a new company every 2 weeks until you find “The One” but I am saying that you should seriously evaluate your current situation and determine if your opportunity will still help you reach your dreams and goals; that’s really where your loyalty should lie…to your dreams and goals.

Think on this for a second.  Would you trade your current car in for a better one?  I think you would.  Would you trade your current house in for a better one?  I think you would.  Would you trade your current job for a clearly better job?  I think you would.  So why is it that when we get to the subject of trading in our home business for a better one, we wouldn’t?  I’m not saying that you should just jump to the first opportunity that shows promise of making you money.  You definitely have to believe in the company and the product or else you will have a difficult time developing something you have no personal equity invested in.  But what I am saying is that being married to your company and staying in a relationship that is unfruitful just doesn’t make sense.

If your goals in network marketing haven’t changed but you realize that your current company is no longer a fit for you, don’t you think it is time to trade in for a better one?  I invite you to allow me to help you succeed in network marketing.  End the struggle RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW.
